America's Dysfunctional Relationship with Work and the Myth of "Higher Learning"

Why does the contemporary education model continue to propel the myth that college is a good investment for people?  We’ve all heard the staggering numbers on student loan debt in the United States. At one trillion dollars and climbing, it is second only to mortgage debt when it comes to burning a hole in the nation’s household finances. Two-thirds, of students graduating from American colleges and universities are graduating with some level of debt.
