Make-Belief Threats

With the internet proving so instrumental in the spread of knowledge and consequent uprisings and rebellions, keep a careful eye on how the corporate media persists on building up these very vague "cyber attack" claims.

Long in the making - The U.N. has been posturing itself and attempting to build consent for a lock-down of the internet as we know it today while masking this motive as Cyber Security.

The G20 scoundrels are salivating at the mouth at the opportunities this could bring them. They'd love the internet to be exclusively used for retail, surveillance, and marketing. Oh sure you'd still get your Jersey Shore online, and your Netflix, Web MD, Amazon, NPR connections - but you can forget about independent news and free exchange of information.

Today, BBC News published such propaganda today's article, 'Serious' cyber attack on EU bodies before summit

"Paris Match magazine said a sustained cyber attack had sought documents related to the G20 and international economic affairs".

Well? What exactly was attacked? One might assume these documents "related to the G20 and international economic affairs" the so called attacker so diligently sought should be free information open to the public anyways.

The Group of Twenty Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (G-20, G20, Group of Twenty) is a group of finance ministers and central bank governors from 20 major economies: 19 countries plus the entire European Union. Collectively, the G-20 economies comprise 85% of global gross national product, 80% of world trade and two-thirds of the world population

Would it not be in the world's best interest that the G20, the controllers of world trade, were a transparent organization? If they were, what kind of "cyber threats" could exist?

Could it be the massive awakening of the common people's collective consciousness? That wouldn't be too good for business now would it?

Community radio and television are getting the shaft in terms of government support, frequency access. The large braodcast and satellite corporations give the Feds billions in regulatory fees to enable themselves to make trillions. What are the Feds doing with that? It isn't going to local non-commercial non-profit community media. Both entities (Gov. and private business) seem not to be concerned with local communities. The most relevant information and news that most impacts our lives is local, and yet, I see those local non-profit channels fighting for any scraps they can get. It's so ironic it's not difficult to attribute it to arrogance and shear greed of our so called elected leaders who abandoned the people a long time ago.
