Making You Feel Ugly and Smelly While Poisoning Our World

It can be said that the cosmetic industry is the cousin of the pharmaceutical industry. Just as pharmaceutical ad campaigns rely on human beings to feel there is something wrong with themselves internally, the cosmetic industry rely on us feeling there is much wrong with us on the outside. Our natural appearance and smell MUST be disgusting in order to sell shampoos, deodorant, teeth whiteners, etc.

The evil goes beyond the obvious twisted message this sends. After all, it permeates into more than just our minds and self-image. A good percent of common household personal "care" products actually poison our environment and are proven to link to cancer. There are little to no laws governing the labeling on these types of products which means the floodgates have been open for a very long time. This is why we have products like "Herbal Essence" boasting all-natural or organic ingredients when these claims are very far from the truth. Consumers are deliberately lied to in order to sell them the products they think they need to be aesthetically acceptable in the modern world.

Here's a great resource for those of you that want to know what personal "care" products in your bathroom are most toxic:
