Advocating Acceptance Through Naive Ignorance

A gorgeous piece of propaganda has been published over at Tech Crunch:
http://www.techcrunch.com/2010/01/12/ok-you-luddites-time-to-chill-on-facebook-over-privacy/
Seems the rationale of writer Michael Arrington (one of TIME Magazine's 2008 selection as the most influential people in the world) is, “We’re losing the battle to have privacy, so we may as well buy into facebook’s idea to exploit every facet of our lives.” It's also as if he is saying, "Let's label anyone who has an issue with this a "Luddite" and imply that they fear "progress.""

What exactly is progressive about subscribing to and feeding a gigantic marketing list like Facebook?

To me, this article comes just as expected. It's part of an impending slew of "journalism" offering the soft-sell to society. They're attempting to gain a growing acceptance of the loss of privacy.

In other words - It's GARBAGE PROPAGANDA! Leave comments on the original article and let them know you know! Link the story as such on Facebook to spread awareness. Let everyone know that the cronies of Facebook have the arrogance and audacity to come straight out and brag about your willing attitude to surrender your privacy.
