Questioning Copenhagen

I saw this posted anonymously as a comment on a blog regarding the Copenhagen Conference and thought its eloquence was worth sharing here:

If there are poor island nations in danger of being swallowed by the ocean with a sea level rise of only a few inches, what good will become of paying them billions of dollars every year?

While there is some science that shows human contribution has led to this fate, there is also science that shows this is a naturally occurring phenomenon.

All this money will be paid to nations that may or may not exist in a few years whether or not greenhouse gases have anything to do with that eventuality.

The GEF, the bank that will control the financial mechanism for this UN scheme will see trillions of dollars every year. This will do good only for those who profit from these transactions, not the planet.

In these feeble attempts to use climate change to scare people into believing this movement toward one world government is in the name of survival, many problems will be born.

Forcing the population to utilize CFL light bulbs, for example, to limit energy use - What good does this do for the planet when consumers have no way to properly dispose of the poisonous mercury of which the bulbs are made?

The Copenhagen Convention has nothing to do with planetary health. If it did, why would China (which is responsible for a huge percentage of GHG emissions) be allowed to participate yet without any emissions restrictions? If they're so worried that carbon dioxide emissions are so dangerous, why not spend the trillions of dollars a year developing a way to filter industrial emissions and harvest the gas for other uses?

If we do a really good job at penalizing nations for carbon dioxide levels, maybe in time we can deplete the earth of all carbon dioxide and really find ourselves amidst a global disaster.

It is not so far streached that some things do need gloabl address. Crime and terrorism is global, drugs are distributed globally, exonomy is becoming global, polution is global. So these things need to be addressed gloablly. However those organizations that do the managing of such things as global banking, policing, market, environmental policy, etc. are using this as an opportunity to solidify and enhance their own power. A world wide oligarchy will step in at first. Until all the nations are aligned. The problem is that the very same groups that are vying for control and managment of these same global sissues are the ones responible for creating the problems that currently exist. It it hard to ignore the destructive path and the apparent demonic impetus beind such a movment. Now those in lock step with it are suggesting to kill more unborn to help diminish the carbon footprint. The same time a culture of subversion is working hard to eliminate traditional religious values which is based upon eternal goals and not the linear. Linear time runs out, creating fear and discouragment. In short mankind is being set up and forced to recieve a false hope. In the end only those at the top of the banking world will reap the benefits. Until the day of renewal at least.
